BIP was formed in Cancún, México in 1994. Headed by Mr. Filippo Strano
and a few collaborators from the year 1990. Specialists from the Computer
science field in Cancun and in the state of Quintana Roo.
Since the inception of BIP along with the experience of Mr. Filippo Strano, director and founder of the company, with his expertise in computer science and applied marketing surprised the local competition in the field.
The initial strategy by BIP was a massive vertical campaign targeting all the presidents of different associations of professionals in the state: doctors, accountants, architects, engineers, etc. They were immediately attracted by the image and seriousness which characterizes BIP and opened the doors of all the major associations. This led to more extensive campaigns via mail and telemarketing which branched out to specialized conferences in various associations – including effective proposals and modern solutions. The result was excellent.
In 1991 for the first time in the state of Quintana Roo, telematic services named TELECONTADURIA project was created and developed solely by Mr. Filippo Strano. The end of the project was computerizing the countable offices so that services of supervision of accounting on line can be offered. The result was very positive.
By the end of 1991 the predominant activity of BIP was in the field of computer consulting mainly focused on countable and the medical sector.
The beginning of 1992 did not lack any offers from many wholesalers to sell hardware. This launched the start of offering complete packages that included hardware, software and consulting. To this day several contracts initiated in 1992 are still being serviced.
As business grew volume of sales equally increased. By 1994 BIP was well established in downtown Cancún. This gave us a better image and consequently allowed us to embrace the market of big companies and hotels. We were able to subscribe major contracts for maintenance and consulting within the hotel zone and downtown Cancún.
With the rapid growth of the Mayan Riviera another major accomplishment was achieved. We became the number one supplier with most major hotels in the sale of hardware installation, networks, fiber optics and maintenance contracts.
In the recent past we became licensed distributors of major brands such as Microsoft, IBM, Compaq, Acer, Star, HP, Canon, Creative, Macromedia, Epson, 3Com, APC, Maxtor, and many more.
Add to our endeavors the development of specialized internet services. Design of pages, E commerce, analysis and solutions and hosting.
In 1999 as in all previous years, our dedication to details has produced a high satisfaction rate. Such as: Number one computer supplier of the Mayan Riviera in billed and service contracts.
Formed a strategic commercial alliance with INFORMARCA of
Portugal. Substituting obsolete front and back software for hotels, with “New
Hotel for Windows” software with perfect timing to embrace the new millennium at
the height of this new tourist destination. This software was presented by the
press in the Caesar Park Hotel (now Hilton) with the Sub Secretary of Tourism
Lic. Juan Pablo Mirabent Pizarro in attendance.
We became unique representatives for the Mexican Republic of the company STACEC,
Italian leader in the development of Software for Civil Engineering.
Became official distributors and enter of guarantees of FARGO.
Consolidating the Center of Solution and Distribution of “Computación en Accion in Cancún.
Our growth has been 148% since 1997.
In 1999 we demonstrated our importance as the only company in Cancún to make gratuitous campaigns to inform about the famous bug of the millennium. Through our booth in the Bazaar of the Trade and Gift we gave thousands of free diskettes with information and important tools to detect and solve the bug of the year 2000.
Our technicians are continuously attending specialized courses
if advancement given by Microsoft and other prestigious global companies such
as: “Systems of Biometric Identification”, “Installation and Problematic of
Office 2000”, “Installation and Problematic of Windows 2000”, “Migration form
Novell to Windows NT”, “Y2K The Millennium Bug”, “Countable and Administrative
Systems of the line Compaq” and others.
We contribute to the local community with articles in local newspapers such as
“Por Esto”, “Novedades de Quintana Roo”, and “La Cronica”. We equally have
received official recognitions along with honorable mentions on the part of
other well established magazines such as “Link”.
In 1999 we were awarded with an important contract by the Hotel Bahia Principe
Tulum in the Mayan Riviera. The investment was approximately $250,000 U.S.
Dollars.
We have built constructive relationships with prestigious companies of the State such as “Integradora de Comunicaciones SA de CV, a high level company dedicated to telecommunications resulting in an alliance that benefits both parties.
BIP SA de CV is CERTIFIED in the program Mission Critical Warranty of Hubbell Premise Wiring (Hubbell Inc.).
Another important relationship was formed with Enzo Vezzosi in
the field of the WEB to establish “LEONARDO, INGEGNIERIA E SERVIZI IN

Filippo Strano and Juan Pedro Sanchez, computer science pioneers formed the first association, at State level, Association of Distributors of Computer Science of Quintana Roo (ADIQROO). They are respectively President and Vice President. In April 2001 in the third national meeting of ANADIC – National Association of Distributors of Computer Technology and Communication – at the Hyatt Hotel Cancún Caribe, ADIQROO is officially incorporated at a national level.
2002 is a year of changes, we decide to stop sale hardware and to be focused much more to the service (outsourcing). This allows us to add to our list of clients, important companies and government institutions as the COMISION FEDERAL DE ELECTRICIDAD and the INSTITUTO NACIONAL DE MIGRACION.
In 2003 we sign an important contract with UPS LOGISTICS GROUP (now UPS SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTION) and we become the supplier of technical services in Quintana Roo for companies like DELL, IBM (Wal Mart and SAM'CLUB), WORLDSPAN, AERONAUTICAL RADIO INCORPORATION (ARINC), GNP among others.

The year 2005, although the hurricane Wilma, was one of the ours better years. We have reinforced our partnership with the firms that we serve from many years ago and we enlarge our number of clients in sale of supply. We also made a good and fruitful relationship with TEMSA, one of the most important Mexican company in the field of the telecommunications.
Also we complement our list of certifications.
The 2006 it begins very well, jointly with TEMSA we summarize the sale of an important project in the "Riviera Maya" for the Hotel "Gran Gala Esmeralda" that will maintain us busy by some months. FM International invites us to participate in its program "PROFESSIONAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM" that helps students and recent graduates around the world "to start as an entrepreneur professional" abroad.
